Renfield was okay

Renfield was decent. It might not be worth re-watching. Renfield is Dracula's manservant and he worries that their relationship is toxic. (It is.) Nicolas Cage stars as Dracula. He is having fun. Cage never phones anything in, for good or for bad.  I liked Nicholas Holt. I don't think I have seen him give a bad performance. Some of the scenes with Holt and Cage are fun. Maybe a few more black and white scenes would have helped.  I don't know if this is worth seeing  again.

All action movies are unrealistic

All action movies are unrealistic. Some are more unrealistic than others. It is part of the genre. When does an action movie become too unrealistic?  Your opinions will vary from film to film. I like Gymkata, and it is unrealistic. That is okay, it was not meant to be realistic.  Taken, for example, is more realistic than Gymkata. Taken is not that realistic though.  If the action movie has some science fiction elements, some things are more acceptable then those things would be in an action movie without science fiction elements. I like the last John Wick movie but there were some scenes where John Wick should not have been able to get up. Spider-man would not be able to get up from that John Wick did. If this does not bother you, cool.

Shazam Fury of the Gods is a step down from Shazam

This sequel is not as good as the original film. It is not terrible but the first one was better. I am officially ok if there is not another sequel.  Rachel Zegler and  Jack Dylan Grazer have some nice moments together. That might be the best thing to say about the film. (Considering how little screen time they share, saying their scenes together are the best thing about the movie might be faint praise.) It will be interesting to see what she does next. At least I finished this film, I did not finish the latest Ant-Ant-Man and the Wasp movie. I don't know if I will ever go back and finish that film. Maybe the first Shazam movie isn't a classic but it is better than this. I might re-watch Shazam in the next few weeks. I don't think I will re-watch this film.

Another Fast and Furious Spin-Spin-off is in the works

Dwayne Johnson is reported to come back in another Fast and Furious Spin-off. (11 films of this series and four without Paul Walker aren't enough apparently.) Apparently this movie will take place between Fast X and Fast X part II (possibly the dumbest sequel name ever). That cannot be the title. Okay, good for Johnson, I guess. I have nothing against him but sometimes I wonder why he has made so many movies but so many of them are average or below average. (I am not calling him a no talent hack.) I thought the series had moved on from Dwayne Johnson in F9. I guess that big feud Johnson had with Vin Disel did not amount to much. (That made Johnson seem small.) Oh well, I will see what happens.  I did kind of like Hobbs and Shaw, Johnson's team up with Jason Statham.
