Affinity is good

Affinity stars Marko Zaror. He plays a man named Bruno. One day Bruno meets a mysterious woman named Athena. Some goons take her.  Bruno uses his special skills to find her and he has two friends helping him. Bruno might been in a special forces unit. Zaror is good in this. He plays a more likeable character than he did in Diablo. After seeing this I am more interested in his upcoming project based on a real life person. Louis Mandylor has a supporting role. It is always nice to see him. Brooke Ence, an actress I am not familiar with, plays Finch, another of Bruno's friends. It is a short movie, which I like. The action scenes are good. I am not sure who played the special henchman but he looked familiar. This is worth seeing again.

Diablo is good but not connected to the video games

Diablo is not connected to the video game series. It is not a John Wick spinoff either (even if two of the actors were in John Wick chapter 4). Scott Adkins stars as Cris who kidnaps a teenage girl, Eliza, who he claims is his daughter. He says her mother visited him in prison and asked him to save her from Vicente, the man Eliza believes is her father. Vicente is a criminal. Eliza's mother is dead. Vicente offers a reward for Eliza's return.  One of Vincente's henchmen calls in a psycho (Marko Zaror) to get her but he seems creepy and might have his own motives.  The movie is set in Columbia. This is the third time Adkins and Zaror have fought on screen.  I don't think their characters in John Wick chapter 4 fought. (Maybe they fight a lot off screen, heh.) It is nice to see them on screen together.  This is good. It might be better than I expected. Director Ernesto Diaz Espinoza also directed Fist of the Condor staring Zaror.

Fist of the Condor is good

Marko Zaror stars in Fist of the Condor. The movie is from Chile. The fights are fun. The plot is a bit basic but that is okay.  Marko stars as a man who knows the ancient secrets of “Fist of the Condor” and people are trying to get a manual for the technique from him. One of them works for Marko’s brother (I forgot the character names). There is a training montage, I like a good training montage. https://www.polygon.com/reviews/23664737/fist-of-the-condor-movie-review-marko-zaror-martial-arts This is a good review. https://outlawvern.com/2023/04/11/fist-of-the-condor/ So is this one. I think this is worth checking out.

Invincible is decent and other thoughts

Invincible stars Jeremy Strong and Marko Zaror. It has a bit of a Universal Soldier vibe. Zaror stars as a solider revived by nanotechnology and he goes on a rampage. Strong is a bodyguard who lets gets nanotechnology to fight Zaror.  It was fun. So I have seen Zaror in Undisputed III, Savage Dog, and Invincible. I have his Fist of the Condor on pre-order. I think I will check out his movie Redeemer soon. Why isn’t he a bigger star?  Black Site was also decent. It might start a little slowly but I think it is worth seeing again. It is set at a secret CIA prison and things start to go badly after a new prisoner arrives. It stars a woman but as far as I know none of “movies are too woke” YouTubers has made a video ripping it for being too woke.

Marko Zaror might be on the rise

Marko Zaror is an action star from Chile. His films from Chile include Redeemer, and Fist of the Condor (his most recent solo movie). He has been in some American movies like Undisputed 3:Redemption and Savage Dog as a villain against Scott Adkins. Marko has a role in John Wick Chapter 4. (I don't know how big a role.) As much as I like Undisputed 3, the new John Wick movie will possibly be Marko's breakthrough role in America.  Fist of the Condor will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in America. I am not an expert on Chilean cinema but this seems a bit unusual.
