Thoughts about John Wick 4 trailer

I saw the new John Wick chapter four trailer.  It is always nice to see Donnie Yen on screen. It is weird that he will be a villain. This looks interesting. I will probably watch it. I don’t hate the John Wick films. I just don’t love them but a lot of other people do.  I like the American Ninja movies but probably only love one of them.  I don’t get too excited by trailers. Trailers are fun to watch but it is kind of hard to make a really bad trailer I think. If there are not enough exciting or interesting things in a two hour film to make a 2 or 2 1/2 minute trailer that is bad.  I wish I had more to say but an action movie with Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Scott Adkins, and Marko Zaror seems promising.  I am not sure how big Zaror or Adkin’s roles will be.  I guess something could go wrong but that is a pretty good cast for an action film.

I don’t feel excited about the new Thor movie

I don’t feel excited about the new Thor movie. I will probably see it at some point. I did not like the last one as much as other people did, so maybe that is why I am not that interested in the new one. (I did not hate the last Thor movie. You can like a movie but not love it.) Maybe some reviews will make me more interested/excited about the movie. Or maybe some reviews will convince me that I am right to be unexcited. Maybe I am more interested in TV shows I am watching right now than new Marvel movies. Star Trek Strange New Worlds is pretty good so far. Stranger Things Season four was pretty good. Cobra Kai season 5 is coming up.

Enola Holmes was decent

Millie Bobbie Brown is good in Enola Holmes, a Netflix movie based off/inspired by a series of books about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister. Brown is best known as Eleven from Stranger Things but I thought she did a good job as Enola. (Sometimes it can be hard for an actor to take on new roles after being so well known for one role. Sometimes the association with a role is hard to overcome.) Enola is looking for her missing mother. Henry Cavil plays Sherlock and maybe there is a bit too much of him in this movie. He is not bad in the role but maybe he has too much screen time. It is not his story. The actor playing Mycroft Holmes was decent but I think the character was a bit diminished. Mycroft is as smart/clever (or even smarter) as Sherlock in most appearances but not this one.  The film is not great but Brown was good in the leading role. Maybe a sequel with a smaller role for Sherlock could work. Maybe it just feels like Sherlock Holmes should have a bigger role in any story th...
