Justice League Dark Apocalypse War is good
This is the last movie in a series that started with Justice League The Flashpoint Paradox. There are 15 films in this set. Some are better than others but I enjoyed all of them. Maybe there was 2 or 3 that I enjoyed a bit less than some others.
Superman leads the Justice League in a strike against Darkside and his forces on the planet Apocalypse. This strike does not go well and later the remains of the Justice League and other heroes gather to try to save the world.
This is pretty good. John Constantine has a substantial role. So does Raven of the Teen Titans. There are some surprises along the way and I won’t spoil them. The violence is appropriate for a movie with the word war in the title and the movie is rated R.
This runs about 90 minutes but it does not feel rushed. Some of the films in this series have been criticized for being too short. In some cases maybe those criticisms are justified. There are some nice character moments.
The next DC animated movie will be Superman Man of Tomorrow and it will feature a new voice cast. I don’t know, yet, if that will be a start of a new series of connected films or if the next batch of films will be standalone films. Maybe there will be a mixture.
