Batman the Long Halloween part 1 was good

I enjoyed Batman the Long Halloween part one. I look forward to part 2.

This is the adaptation of a 12 issue mini-series by Joseph Loeb and Tim Sale. (It has been too long since I last read the mini-series, so I cannot comment on how close the adaptation is or if the movie conveys Sale’s art style.) It is set early in Batman’s career, before the first appearance of Robin. Members of the mob are being killed around holidays in Gotham City. Batman investigates.

I think is worth seeing if you aren’t familiar with the source material. Jensen Ackles provides the voice of Batman. I think he is fine. I am not sure anyone in the voice cast was great but I didn’t think anyone was a weak link either.

I wonder if there will be any surprises in part two. The animated movie Hush differed from the original comics. The next part is supposed to come out in August.
